Businessresources.com.au is currently being set up and once ready for launch will be a very comprehensive and relevant source of local information for Australian independent small business. Information offered will be in the form of links, articles, reviews and even advertising that has real relevance to Australian SME's (Small-Medium Enterprises). Victoria is nearly complete with other states following soon. There are a number of pages on to the left side of the screen including Marketing, Retail & 'Shopping local first'. Pages coming in the near future will include an 'Australian Made' page, Women's Business Groups and a great dedicated Small Business Software page. Abite is running 16-18 August in Melbourne at Jeffs shed (Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre for any one from out of town). This year sees a welcome National focus in the change from the Victorian Small Business & IT expo as it has been for the previous years. This is worth all Home Based and Small Business in Victoria getting along to this event as it is billed as 'the single largest gathering of business owners, managers, entrepreneurs and IT professionals in Victoria' and based on last year I'm sure it will be great! Tickets are only $10 each to this great event and given that they have over 100 seminars over the 3 days its great value! |

National Business TV has just launched this week online so it's accessible 24/7 for those who are time poor which I assume would be most of you reading this! Mike Ryan's weekly interviews are worth a look due to his great on-screen persona and the interesting people interviewed. Recent interviews include: Elodie Journet from Austrade and many others worth looking at. National Business TV has originated from Melbourne Business TV which has many great interviews in it's vaults from Barbara Gabogrecan - Home Based Business Australia (HBBA) and many organisations like the Docklands Chamber of Commerce and the South Melbourne Business Association. |

Let's Talk Net.com.au is a great unbiased resource for Small Business and personal internet users. It has a ton of podcasts on email, Domain names, Online security, ecommerce and where the internet is going in the future. The podcasts and information is free as it comes from auDA (the Australian Domain Administrator) who administer Australian domains. |

Its on again! Energise Enterprise 08 is back for its third year with events all around Victoria. You can request a 40 page hard-copy booklet from the 'EE08' site or simply read through online and save part of a tree. There are more than 360 events, workshops and seminars right across Victoria starting on 1st August. In 2007 (only its second year running) more than 26,000 existing SME's and start-up businesses participated around Victoria, this is genuinely a state wide event and worth your time to get along to one or more of the events in your local area, I know I will. |
